The standard
Zero is built, not bought.
Net Zero permits an offset: a payment that lets the emission carry on somewhere else. Real Zero does not. It means the fuel is not burned, at a real address, by equipment that is actually installed. A harder standard, and a slower one. It is also the only kind of zero you can walk up to and check.
