Tesla issued a Channel Partner notice on 17 July 2026 addressing third-party products that claimed to enable bidirectional charging with Tesla vehicles. This bulletin records the position stated in that notice.

Warranty position stated in the partner notice
Bidirectional charging covers two functions: vehicle-to-home (V2H), where a vehicle supplies backup power to a house, and vehicle-to-grid (V2G), where energy from the vehicle feeds back to the grid. The partner notice stated that, at that date, Tesla permitted those functions only through Tesla Powershare and described Powershare availability as limited to North America.
The notice named Sigenergy among third parties making bidirectional compatibility claims. It stated that the products were not authorised or verified by Tesla and could affect vehicle safety controls and warranty coverage. McKercher did not independently test those technical statements. Tesla's current public Australian warranty page states that damage caused by third-party bidirectional adaptors or chargers is not covered, which is narrower than saying that every part of a vehicle warranty is automatically void.
The group installs both brands named in the notice
At publication, PSW Energy and Perth Solar Warehouse recorded both Tesla Premium Certified Installer status and Sigenergy Gold Installer status. Current programme status is not established by this bulletin.
