Sigenergy issued a product change notice dated 13 August 2026 introducing an 8m version of the SigenStack BC cable. The existing 4m kit remains available and is unchanged.
The SigenStack BC cable connects the SigenStack Battery Controller to Sigen C&I Hybrid inverters in the HYA and HYB series, carrying both power and communication signals between the two devices. The manufacturer states that the standard 4m cable covers most conventional installations, where the battery controller and the inverter sit close to one another, and that the 8m kit is intended for layouts where the two devices are positioned further apart.
The longer kit changes length and nothing else
The manufacturer describes the 8m kit as an extended-length version of the standard cable. It lengthens the two power cables and the single communication cable to 8m, while keeping the same electrical specifications and connection types as the 4m version.

The notice records that the stated dimensions and weights are those of the installation kit packing box, not of the cable itself.
Installation planning is where this matters
A fixed 4m interconnect sets a hard limit on how far apart the battery controller and the inverter can be placed. On commercial and industrial sites, switchboard position, wall space, ventilation clearances and access requirements often decide equipment placement before cable runs are considered. Where those constraints have previously forced a compromise, the 8m kit gives a second option from 30 August 2026.
The change does not alter the electrical specification, the connection type, or any clearance or installation requirement published for the connected equipment.
The applicable documents remain the controlling reference
