Sigenergy issued product change notice PCN2025018 in October 2025 for the AC output interface used across specified SigenStor Energy Controller and Sigen Hybrid models.
This article is a dated record of that notice. It is not the current action guide for affected 8, 10, or 12 kW single-phase Australian Energy Controllers. Those products later became subject to an Australian product safety recall.
OT terminals replaced the earlier AC connection
The manufacturer notice described a change from the earlier AC connection arrangement to an interface using OT terminals. It covered specified:
- 8, 10, and 12 kW single-phase SigenStor Energy Controllers and Sigen Hybrid inverters
- 17, 20, 25, and 30 kW three-phase SigenStor Energy Controllers and Sigen Hybrid inverters
The notice stated an Australian implementation period beginning in October 2025, with global versions following in November 2025. Product codes remained unchanged, so the equipment and package information had to be checked to identify the relevant interface.
Later recall takes priority
On 19 November 2025, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission published a recall for certain SigenStor EC 8.0, 10.0, and 12.0 kW SP AU Energy Controllers fitted with quick-connect AC plugs. The recall states that affected plugs may overheat and create a fire risk.
For those affected products, the recall and current manufacturer instructions supersede the earlier general statements in the product change notice. Owners and installers should use the reviewed Sigenergy recall guide and the current official recall process.
Current installer position
Installers must identify the exact product, hardware arrangement, and current manufacturer instruction before work begins. Do not use this historical summary as a wiring, retrofit, inspection, or replacement procedure.
Current package documents, manufacturer instructions, product safety notices, licensing requirements, and controlled work procedures apply to the specific task. Conflicts or uncertainty must be escalated before the equipment is installed, altered, or returned to service.
